Taking top-down command of your party of various fantasy characters, you’ll traverse the land slaying monsters, saving the world, and encountering a host of well-written quests and exciting storylines. One of the best to come out so far is Larian Studios’ Divinity: Original Sin 2. With the resurgent popularity of Dungeons and Dragons, isometric-style RPGs are also back in vogue. It even has multiplayer support, so you can become instantly furious with your friends and loved one’s inability to follow simple commands. A puzzle game at heart, Portal 2 takes a simple formula and injects it with new life by including memorable characters, fast-paced gameplay, and an excellent theme tune. However, against all the odds, the Portal team landed it with Portal 2. Following a successful game is hard enough, but landing a sequel to a genre-defining game is borderline impossible. Portal was, and still is, widely regarded as one of the best games ever to be produced, entering both the gaming and pop-culture lexicon and spawning an ever-growing collection of “ the cake is a lie” memes.
